This role is responsible for pulling orders in a timely manner for shipping and moving product or materials using powered vehicles. The operator will use industrial manual/powered pallet jacks, stockers, pickers, or Hysters while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. Passing licensing certifications for all assigned equipment is required. The position involves identifying labels and products, reading and interpreting carton/product labels for picking orders, and using scanners/CRTs or reports to identify merchandise for movement between warehouse locations. Daily tasks include checking the calendar for UPS/FEDEX weekly or cross-dock pulls, logging pull groups and labels, picking up racks or cages for order pulling, and pulling orders based on pull sheets or SKU summaries by location and units. Pulled orders will be taken to the packing floor and staged in the proper area. If assigned as a floater, the individual will stage orders for packers and maintain proper carton stock on the floor. For UPS/FEDEX pulls, no more than 25-30 rugs may be placed on a rack, but a cage should be filled. If there are no orders to pull, the employee will seek instructions from their supervisor or lead person.
