About The Position

Support LAZ at Edison ParkFast Operations by maintaining and providing lift maintenance support to all parking locations throughout New York and New Jersey. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing onsite parking lift systems, conducting routine preventative maintenance, and ensuring the proper functionality and safety of all parking systems. The technician will also manage inventory, collaborate with Facility Managers, train location staff, and maintain their assigned work truck and tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical or electrical fields
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair parking lift systems
  • Ability to safely handle physical workload including the lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely climb and perform work from ladders and extensions
  • Ability to safely from various heights, outdoors and in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge and experience on safe operations of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to learn and understand mechanics and different lines of products
  • Good communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; public relations skills
  • Customer service skills; interacting with customers daily to train on installed systems
  • Ability to take direction from Senior Technicians and/or Managers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working on parking equipment preferred
  • Highschool or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair onsite parking lift systems at our New York and New Jersey operating business locations on daily basis
  • General equipment breakdown, calibration, field service, maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade of equipment in the field
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all parking systems to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Determine types of equipment, tools, or materials needed for each job
  • Monitor inventory of spare and used parts
  • Work with assigned Facility Managers to complete daily assignments
  • Train Location Managers and staff on day-to-day operations, routine maintenance, software use and reporting
  • Maintain assigned work truck and company-issued tools
  • Complete timely resolution of all service tickets and support new project installations
  • Completion of timely and accurate paperwork and information flow each day
  • Ladder climbing and ladder extension usage to safely perform equipment maintenance outdoors, in all weather conditions and from various heights
  • Safe use of hand tools and power tools equipment
