About The Position

Performs skilled, supervisory, and limited administrative work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of sewage lift stations, odor control facilities, and sewage transfer facilities. Oversees the field activities of skilled workers such as Mechanics, Electricians, Operators, and Utility Service Workers. Work is performed under general supervision. Work is reviewed through direct observation and discussions while in progress and upon completion. This position is located at Water Reclamation Facility Conserv II at 5100 L.B. McLeod Road, Orlando, FL 32811.

Requirements

• Associates degree or technical training in the mechanical or electrical field plus four (4) years experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment (such as pumps, engines, electrical control centers, electric motors, and piping arrangements of sewage pumping stations) to include two (2) years supervisory or managerial experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Florida Class E Driver's License required.
• Wastewater level 1 Collection Technician certificate required within 1 year of hire.
• Required to have security clearance & GOAA badge within 90 days of employment.
• Must meet minimum qualifications to proceed in the application process.
