About The Position

Maintains and controls plant machines and equipment of lift station facilities. This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening. Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Texas Class "C" Driver's License
• Must currently have or be able to obtain a ‘Collections II’ license within 2 years of employment
• Frequent Standing and walking
• Sitting
• Operation of a motor vehicle
• Use of digits, hands, and extremities to feel, handle, and manipulate objects
• Reaching and overhead reaching
• Bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling
• Crouching and kneeling
• Lifting to 25 lbs.
• Communication of information and ideas so others can understand.
• Must be able to share accurate information face-to-face, over the telephone and radio
• Occasional Crawling
• Lifting to 50lbs
• Climbing to heights and maintaining balance.
• Requires the ability to see close-up, at a distance, and peripherally.

Responsibilities

• Controls and maintains electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate wastewater flow into the wastewater treatment plant system.
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Performs daily maintenance at all lift stations.
• Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Write correspondence and daily/weekly reports.
• Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Manage problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Performs related duties as assigned and required.
• Rotating on-call schedule.
