About The Position
Safely and efficiently operate a ski lift during night skiing operations, assist guests in safely loading and unloading the chairlift, conduct crowd control at lift lines, and enthusiastically and professionally interact with guests. Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to maximize use of time and resources
Nice To Haves
- Ski/Snowboard experience preferred
- Previous lift operation experience desired
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a ski lift
- Be attentive at the load and unload terminals; watching not only ramp, but all areas around your station
- Perform opening procedures at the ski lift and lift maze
- Assisting guests of all ages and abilities to load and unload chairlifts safely
- Enthusiastically interact with guests at every opportunity
- Prepare and maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing workspace throughout the day as conditions change (shoveling, raking, moving snow) by completing physically demanding tasks
- Complete required documentation such as daily logs and other documents as needed, legibly and accurately
- Work independently or in groups to accomplish daily job-related tasks
- Maintain the lift chairs by removing snow, ice, and precipitation for guests
- Perform closing procedures at the ski lift and lift maze
- Conduct/manage crowd control in lift mazes
- Present yourself with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Be respectful to all employees and guests at all times
- Follow all skiing policies and codes
- Must be dependable and reliable
