About The Position

Keystone Mountain Operations is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader to join our highly successful Lift Experience Team. We’re looking for someone who can inspire the team to perform at their best while managing a safe, engaging, and adaptable work environment. The Lift Experience Assistant Manager is a dynamic position that requires strong organizational, technical, training and people skills. The ideal candidate will be able to make timely, informed decisions in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment. This position works closely with the Lift Experience Senior Manager, Manager and Assistant Managers, as well as 6-8 Lift Experience Supervisors and their teams, to ensure consistently high standard of service year-round for both external guests and internal employees. Key responsibilities include daily oversight of the Lift Experience Team, ensuring appearance, performance, safety and guest service standards are maintained to the highest level expected. A positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential to help cultivate a supportive and motived work environment. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across departments and at all levels of management.

Requirements

  • High School Education
  • 3+ years lift operations experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills
  • Prior Supervisory experience
  • Advanced Skiing/Riding Ability

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or Other Secondary Education
  • Knowledgeable of Company System and Process
  • Familiarity with Payroll, Purchasing, Scheduling Application, Social Media Channels
  • Experience in a KPI driven environment with desire to test and learn

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Lift Experience Supervisors, ensuring consistent performance and accountability.
  • Provide Supervisors and frontline staff with the resources, training, and support needed for success.
  • Partner with Management and Resort Leadership on seasonal ramp-up/ramp-down efforts and operating plans.
  • Develop and maintain department policies and procedures related to safety, performance, appearance, and guest service.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including CPTSB, OSHA, ANSI, and USFS.
  • Communicate departmental, mountain, and company information accurately and effectively.
  • Identify, mentor, and develop employees with leadership potential.
  • Maintain accountability to department and resort standards through coaching, recognition, and corrective action.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and retention efforts year-round.
  • Partner on workforce planning and staffing strategies across winter and summer operations.
  • Coordinate and support department training and leadership development initiatives.
  • Monitor labor and operating expenses to ensure alignment with business needs and budget targets.
  • Assist in preparing and managing winter and summer operational budgets.
  • Analyze operational, staffing, and labor trends to support effective decision-making.
  • Support annual department goals, operational planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments to support seamless mountain operations and guest experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
