About The Position

Sugarloaf is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to join our team in the role of Lift Control for our upcoming winter season. Sugarloaf Lift Control serves as a bridge of communication between the lift department and many other resort departments. This seasonal position communicates via radio, phone, and email to relay information and to coordinate the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day. We are currently looking for someone to take on this role 3 days a week, however there could be an opportunity to add a fourth day as a Lift Operator with our outside team for the right fit. The starting wage for this role is between $17.50-20 per hour depending upon experience. This is an excellent position for an individual with some knowledge of ski area operations and a desire to network.

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with periodic slow times
• Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access at a proficient level along with other types of software required to complete tasks
• Able to interact in a professional and cordial manner with all other mountain departments
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Reliable to report to work before lifts turn (6 am)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of lift operations is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day in addition to keeping a detailed record of daily events
• Communicate via phone, email, and radio with all major departments affected by the status of lift operations
• Update lift status related media for the Sugarloaf website and public information boards
• Assist lift operations as needed
• Assist with administrative and office support tasks as needed
