About The Position

The Lift Attendant position is probationary and temporary, designed to teach new employees the specific responsibilities and duties of a lift operator. Employees are expected to progress through training. If an employee is unable to meet lift operations standards and successfully complete the lift operations test after 30 days of employment, they may not be allowed to continue working in the Lift Operations Department of the Mountain Department. The role involves maintaining the ramp, terminal area, and lift house, checking tickets and season passes, and loading and unloading guests while promoting a good guest/host relationship.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Must have sufficient reading/writing skills.
  • Must be able to make immediate and appropriate decisions.
  • Must be 18 yr. or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to ski or snowboard.

Responsibilities

  • Safe, efficient, and courteous operation of lifts.
  • Operation of chairlift, loading and unloading guests.
  • Snow maintenance at top and bottom lift terminals, resulting in excellent snow surfaces on ramps and terminal areas.
  • Check tickets and season passes and maintain maze control.
  • Maintain clean and tidy lift terminal and surrounding area.
  • Assist guests as needed.
  • Neatly groomed, in proper uniform including name tag.
  • Maintain Lift Logs and complete Lift Incident reports.
  • Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
