About The Position

Our Lift Attendants play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest during their time on the mountain. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, energetic, approachable, and comfortable working outdoors in all winter weather conditions. You should enjoy interacting with people, be able to remain focused in a busy environment, and be excited about the opportunity to exceed guest expectations and create Guests for Life.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time on uneven surfaces and in inclement weather.
  • Must be able to move heavy objects (25-30 lbs.).
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
  • Timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather and must be available to work a flexible workweek, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must be 18 years of age by 12/20/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with safe and efficient loading and unloading of lifts.
  • Provide clear instructions and exceptional guest service through positive interaction with guests.
  • Greet guests at lift gates and ensure they have a valid ticket or season pass.
  • Slow or stop lifts as necessary to ensure guest safety and comfort.
  • Maintain loading and unloading ramps and surrounding lift areas by shoveling, raking, and moving snow as needed.
  • Ensure lift chairs are clear of snow and ice before loading guests.
  • Monitor lift areas and identify potential hazards, reporting them immediately.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of lift policies, procedures, and operating and riding rules, and ensure they are followed by both staff and guests.
  • Provide guests with helpful information regarding mountain terrain and lift operations.
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections and post-operation shutdown procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and implement emergency procedures, including contacting Ski Patrol when necessary.
  • Maintain constant awareness of guests, lift equipment, and surrounding conditions.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming lift operation.
  • Contribute to a positive mountain experience by demonstrating professionalism, warmth, and a genuine willingness to help our guests.
