About The Position

Bring energy, creativity, and purpose to community living as a Lifestyle Manager at Cook Valley Estates. In this role, you’ll design and lead a dynamic lifestyle program built around the seven dimensions of wellness—supporting residents’ physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and environmental well-being. Through engaging activities, meaningful experiences, and personalized programming, you’ll inspire connection, foster a sense of purpose, and enhance each resident’s overall quality of life in alignment with their individual lifestyle goals. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating safe and reliable transportation for outings and activities, ensuring residents have access to enriching experiences both within and beyond the community. From overseeing vehicle maintenance to ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, your leadership will help create a seamless, vibrant environment where residents can thrive every day.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in life enrichment, recreation, activities programming, or senior living preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement engaging, resident-centered lifestyle programs that support physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and schedules simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, team members, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to senior living activities and transportation services.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee resident transportation, including outings and community events.
  • Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license; chauffeur’s license preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and activity scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates a diverse community enrichment program for Cook Valley Estates while involving residents.
  • Interviews new residents to understand their current, past, and future activity interests.
  • Stays updated on economic conditions and recommends adjustments to programming to ensure continued availability of daily activities.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of all programming functions to ensure quality control measures are maintained.
  • Gives tours of the community and coordinates programs that enhance the use of wetlands.
  • Manages the volunteer program, on-site fitness programs, and monthly newsletter.
  • Assists in the development and revision of written policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily Marketplace operations and compliance (hours, staffing coverage, customer service, and merchandising).
  • Manage inventory (ordering, receiving, stocking, rotation, and shrink control); maintain accurate logs.
  • Ensure cash handling/POS procedures are followed, including deposits, reconciliation, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate vendors and pricing; ensure products align with resident preferences and community standards.
  • Respond to resident feedback and resolve service issues promptly; escalate concerns as needed.
  • Support roll-out and ongoing execution of wellness and NIFS programming, aligning with community standards and resident needs.
  • Coordinate calendars, vendors/partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and events.
  • Track participation and resident feedback; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide day-to-day support to residents and team members, troubleshooting issues and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate resident activities, outings, and special events to promote engagement and well-being.
  • Oversee resident transportation services, including scheduling trips and coordinating bus usage for lifestyle programming.
  • Ensure drivers meet all licensing, safety, and compliance requirements and maintain appropriate coverage for scheduled activities.
  • Track and coordinate routine bus upkeep, including annual and quarterly maintenance, inspections, and required documentation.
