About The Position

At Hillcrest, the mission is to enhance the lives of aging adults. As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will be central to this mission, leading engaging activities and welcoming new residents. You will help create an environment where people feel they belong, acting as an event planner, community builder, and joy-instigator.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in hospitality, activities, or a related field
• A natural ability to connect with people and create a welcoming environment
• Creativity—you can turn a simple idea into a memorable experience
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to stay calm, flexible, and positive in all situations

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with the aging population (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities, events, and group programming that residents genuinely look forward to
• Help plan and execute a monthly lifestyle calendar full of variety and engagement
• Welcome new residents with orientations and interest inventories to help them feel at home from day one
• Build meaningful relationships and rapport with residents
• Keep lifestyle spaces and supplies organized, clean, and ready for action
• Support wellness and exercise programs as needed
• Collaborate with the team to identify additional services or support opportunities for residents
• Communicate any changes in resident condition to the care team for follow-up
