About The Position

The Lifemark Scholarship for Indigenous Students is an award created to support diversity within the occupational therapy and physiotherapy professions. Lifemark Health Group recognizes the history of the country and the benefits gained, and shares in the responsibility to remove existing barriers to success for Indigenous community members. This annual scholarship provides financial support in the form of a $5,000 award for Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary learning in a recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters program in Canada.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student in good academic standing.
  • Currently attending one of Canada’s recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters programs.
  • Must be a member of the Indigenous community.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Heritage, identity and school admission will be verified prior to the payment of the award.
  • A copy of your transcript is required.
  • Your heritage verification documents are required.

  • Resume (not required but would assist in strengthening your application).

Responsibilities

  • Successful completion of your Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy program is anticipated.
  • Write a short reflection at the close of your academic year noting how this award has impacted your rehabilitation student journey. This statement will be used to promote this opportunity to others and will be shared on public facing platforms. Consent will be requested to publicly share your reflection.
