About The Position

The Lifemark Scholarship for Black Students is an annual award of $5,000 created to support diversity within the occupational therapy and physiotherapy professions. It is available to students from Black communities pursuing post-secondary learning in a recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters program in Canada. Lifemark Health Group recognizes the historical context and the benefits derived from the country's foundation, and shares in the responsibility to remove existing barriers for its Black community members.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student in good academic standing.
  • Currently attending one of Canada’s recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters Programs.
  • Must be a member of the Black community (Afro-Canadian, African, Caribbean).
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Identity and school admission will be verified prior to the awards payment.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete your Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy program.
  • Write a short reflection at the close of your academic year noting how the award has impacted your rehabilitation student journey. This statement will be used to promote the opportunity on public-facing platforms, with your consent.
  • Provide a copy of your transcript.
  • Submit a resume (not required but recommended).
