About The Position
Breck School is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise Lower School swimming classes and ensure the safety of all participants. This role involves monitoring locker room areas, responding to emergencies, and communicating effectively with students and staff. The position is for 15-19 hours per week, from November to May, with a salary of $24 per hour. Breck School is a coeducational college preparatory, Episcopal day school known for excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts, with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current Lifeguard certification is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of vigilance and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Lower School swimming classes to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Monitor and supervise locker room areas, ensuring cleanliness and appropriate behavior.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding safety and facility use.
