About The Position
Join our team of dedicated Lifeguards and help create a fun, safe aquatics environment: CHANGE LIVES. INCLUDING YOURS. As a Lifeguard at our YMCA, you will have the opportunity to serve as a leader, assure swimmer safety and create a positive aquatics atmosphere for pool users. Thea Alme, Lifeguard & Swim Instructor said, "I love my job because I have the opportunity to teach people how to be safe & confident in & around the water! In this role, you can look forward to: Ensuring safety in and around the pool area Responding appropriately to emergencies Maintaining a clean, safe pool area Communicating appropriately with parents, participants and members
Requirements
- Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and Lifeguard experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- This position is open to candidates ages 15 and older.
