About The Position

The Lifeguard is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest, while also maintaining the aquatic safety of all guests. This role involves supporting and promoting company service standards, daily setup and breakdown of pool decks, following emergency procedures, providing constant visual surveillance of the pool area, assisting guests with requests, and understanding resort features and services. The Lifeguard is also expected to attend training, assist other departments as necessary, and be knowledgeable about the Las Vegas area.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and other Team Members
  • Must be able to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Must be able to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis
  • Possess basic knowledge of the Las Vegas area and attractions
  • Must be capable of administering CPR, First Aid or provide rescue in accordance with Red Cross training
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, all required Nevada work cards (Health)
  • Must have, or ability to obtain, an American Red Cross certification in CPR for the professional Rescuer
  • Must have, or ability to obtain, a valid, accredited Lifeguard Training & First Aid certification
  • Must be available to work all shifts and days, including opening and closing shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
  • Daily set up of the pool decks before the pools open to guests and completing a breakdown of the pools each day as they close
  • Following all designated emergency procedures
  • Providing constant visual surveillance of pool and surrounding area identifying any potential safety or emergency situations
  • Assisting guests with requests, offering appropriate alternatives and seeking assistance when necessary
  • Understanding and being well-versed in the resort features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests
  • Attending required training
  • Assisting other departments as necessary
  • Willing to participate in promotional campaigns and promote upcoming events via social platforms
  • Knowing and adhering to departmental policies and procedures, embracing company culture and taking pride in the resort and amenities
