Lifeguard - Private Country Club
About The Position
The Tuxedo Club seeks experienced, enthusiastic and customer service-driven Lifeguards to join our team for the season! The primary responsibility of the Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area. This role also involves ensuring all NYS Health & Safety Standards and Codes are followed by maintaining proper balances of pool chemicals and cleanliness of all aquatic operations. Daily operations forms for opening/closing of each shift must be completed, and the Lifeguard will assist the Pool Director with all documentation for NYS and The Tuxedo Club, as well as ad-hoc projects. Requirements
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
- Must be able to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner
- Team player that is energetic, professional, and has a positive attitude
- Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends & holidays
- Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, & push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
- Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time
- Must practice proper body mechanics & use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
Nice To Haves
- Current WSY certification preferred
- 1 year Lifeguard experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area
