About The Position

YMCA at Northwest is looking for enthusiastic Lifeguards to join their Aquatics Team. This role is responsible for keeping pools safe, having fun while working, and making an impact. The position is full-time, with shifts Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, maintaining a minimum of 35 hours each week. The pay range starts at $14 per hour, with potential for more depending on experience.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 16
• Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)

Nice To Haves

• No lifeguarding experience? No worries! We’ll provide all required training and certifications, including the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, risk-free environment for all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules (politely but firmly).
• Build relationships with members while ensuring they enjoy their time in the water.
• Maintain a clean and safe swimming area.
