About The Position

Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguards to support programming and aquatic activities at the Meek Aquatics Facility. This position is an excellent opportunity for students who are currently certified by the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard and are interested in working in a dynamic aquatic facility environment. Requirements

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Training Certifications
• Currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all members, participants, and guests using the pool facility.
• Actively monitor the pool, surrounding deck areas, and aquatic activities at all times.
• Inspect and ensure the proper operation and readiness of lifeguarding and aquatic safety equipment.
• Conduct and accurately document daily pool chemical and water quality checks.
• Enforce all Athletic Department, facility, and pool safety policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and follow established emergency action protocols.
