About The Position

HealthFitness is hiring part-time Lifeguards in Marysville, OH! Whether you're a student looking for a flexible side job, a retiree wanting to stay active and involved, or anywhere in between, HealthFitness has a great opportunity for you! We're hiring Part-Time Lifeguards (from 5-29 hrs/week). Work a flexible schedule with hours that align with your availability! Potential shifts fall within the following hours of operation: Monday - Friday: 5am-6pm, Saturday: 10am-3pm.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Site may be able to provide Lifeguard certification training at discounted rate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
