About The Position
To guard and protect the guests that use the Forest Home pools and lake facilities. To maintain cleanliness and safety of all aquatics facilities and to provide excellent customer service in order to create a fun, welcoming Christ centered environment.
Requirements
- Current American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard, and AED certification, or be willing and psychically able to be certified
- Working towards High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Responsible, focused and aware of surroundings
- Must be comfortable and confident in possible high stress situations
Nice To Haves
- Prior lifeguard experience preferred
- Preferred experience in job or ministry that requires guest interaction and service with people of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform lifeguard duties in aquatics programs as assigned, which include a lake front and serveral swimming pools
- Obtains and maintains Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications
- Reaches and maintains a level of physical fitness that meets or exceeds the American Red Cross standard for lifeguards (500 meter swim, 10 foot dive and swim with brick, tread water for 3 minutes)
- Supports and upholds Recreation safety plans and procedures
- Assures equipment is inspected and maintained
- Provide excellent and Christ like service to guests and fellow staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
