About The Position

Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience
- CPR and First Aid certification; Water Safety/Instructor certifications required
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
Responsibilities
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety
- Administers first aid for minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises
- Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers
- Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager
- Enforces rules of conduct
- Performs pool maintenance, including checking chemicals and vacuuming the pool
- Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely manner
- Organizes and monitors pool games at all times and suggests poolside games
- Skims bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use and empties the automatic skimmer
- Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day
- Maintains all necessary records as determined by the department manager
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
