About The Position
Nakoma Pool, an extension of Nakoma Golf Club in Madison, is seeking positive, outgoing individuals to join their team as lifeguards, coaches, or front desk attendants. The pool aims to provide a clean and friendly environment for its private members and guests during the summer season. Applicants must have swimming experience and possess or be able to obtain necessary certifications by the opening weekend. The pool season runs from May 23 to August 31, 2026, and staff are expected to work the entire season. Operating hours vary based on weather and daylight. Staffing typically includes a manager, 3-5 lifeguards, and a front desk attendant during peak times. Positions are filled as needed, considering returning staff, applicant qualifications, and membership numbers. Applications are kept on file for the entire season, and interviews may be conducted after the season starts if hiring needs arise.
Requirements
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR (with AED), and First Aid, or ability to obtain them by opening weekend (May 23rd).
- Swimming experience.
- Ability to work the entire season from May 23 to August 31, 2026.
- Positive and outgoing attitude.
- Highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
