About The Position

The Summit Club, located outside of Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a seasonal Lifeguard to join its Outdoor Pursuits Department. This position runs from April 5, 2026, to October 3, 2026. The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of members and guests in aquatic areas, including the pool, lake, pool deck, beach areas, and water slide, by monitoring activity and enforcing safety regulations. Current lifeguard certification is required for this role. The Summit Club is Las Vegas’ only fully private residential golf and lifestyle club community, spanning 555 acres with 262 residences, a world-class Tom Fazio-designed golf course, wellness and recreation programming, and a 70,000 square foot clubhouse. It focuses on cultivating memorable family experiences and providing high-level member and guest services. Requirements

  • Current lifeguard certification is required.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED Certification required.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • No specific degree required - though a bachelor's may be desirable
  • 2 years working in an aquatic environment preferred.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Surveying activity in the pool to ensure the safety of all our members and guests.
  • Maintain an organized appearance of the pool area throughout the day.
  • Ensure daily set up and breakdown of all activities and equipment is completed.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately to the Clubhouse Manager.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations.
  • Provide risk management for aquatic areas.
  • Perform first aid treatments when necessary.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
