The Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center is seeking a 30-hour lifeguard to enforce safety for aquatics patrons and ensure the facility is run up to standard. If you have a passion for aquatics and are interested in an abbreviated full-time schedule (benefits included), look no further!

Requirements

At least a few months in aquatics safety.

Responsibilities

Serving as a lifeguard for an indoor pool at the MAFC and overseeing the pool area, along with all aquatics patrons.
Assume leadership role during any site activation of the emergency action plan.
Oversees as a lead worker over part-time employees.
Remains on pool deck during assigned shift and adheres to lifeguarding standards; monitors and corrects unsafe and/or aggressive behavior.
Ensures safety and health precautions for both patrons and staff.
Teaches swim lessons and leads aquatics classes as needed.
Assist in the support of special events within MAFC aquatics.
Performs required opening and closing duties as scheduled.
Assists with opening, closing and center supervision in the absence of full-time supervisors.
Participates in aquatics operations and maintenance operations including daily monitoring of pool equipment and chemicals.
Documents chemical readings and maintenance issues and reports to the certified pool operator.
Maintains cleanliness of pool area, pump rooms, chemical storage rooms and locker room areas.
Communicates with facility patrons and answers questions.
Understand all of the MAFC operational and program policies, including basic pool mechanical room operation and basic computer software user skills as it pertains to MAFC software.
