About The Position

As a Lifeguard, you will monitor pools and water attractions, respond quickly to emergencies, and provide exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Florida driver's license required to operate company golf carts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in lifting or moving over 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to work in wet, humid, outdoor environments and prolonged sun and heat exposure.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Must uphold Westgate Resorts' standards of professionalism, integrity, safety, and guest service.

Nice To Haves

American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
Strong swimming ability and the ability to react quickly and confidently during emergency situations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

Monitor pools and water attractions to ensure the safety of all guests.
Enforce water park and pool rules while promoting a safe and enjoyable environment.
Respond immediately to emergencies, perform water rescues, and administer first aid and CPR when necessary.
Provide outstanding guest service by answering questions and assisting guests throughout the water park.
Participate in required training, safety drills, and certification programs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
