About The Position

WinnCompanies is looking for three Lifeguards to join our team at Evergreen Hills I, an 80-unit affordable housing community located in Macedon, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all activities in the pool area of the property and ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to swim and work outdoors for 6-8 hours per day.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Achieving and maintaining all appropriate Red Cross certifications and furnishing copies to the Property Manager.
• Performing and maintaining appropriate activity reports.
• Supervising people in the pool to warn against inappropriate activity and being cognizant of any need for personal assistance.
• Providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service.
• Enforcing the property's rules at all times for use of and activity in and around the pool, including wearing appropriate attire and ensuring that food and beverages are not brought into the pool area.
• Controlling the number of people in the pool at any given time to ensure that the pool is not overcrowded, according to Red Cross standards.
• Ensuring the pool area is always clean and in good repair with the responsibility for calling the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) as needed for maintenance and cleaning assistance.
• Performing various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Opening and closing the pool area at the appropriate times each day the pool is open.
• Ensuring that all gates to the area are locked at the end of each day.
• Cleaning and testing the pool each morning before the pool is open, and as needed during and at the end of each day.
• Dressing appropriately in the prescribed uniform and being neat and groomed at all times.
