About The Position

HealthFitness is hiring Lifeguards to join their team in Beaumont, TX. This is a part-time role, working up to 25 hours per week, responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all aquatic facility members and guests. The role involves enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, performing chemical testing, attending meetings and training, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the aquatics facility.

Requirements

Lifeguard & CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross (or willingness to obtain certification) required.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of: 500-yard swim. Active, Passive, Submerged rescues. Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water. Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
Respond appropriately to any emergency.
Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
Attend all required staff meetings and training.
Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
Maintain a professional attitude.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
