About The Position

Camp Curiosity is seeking energetic, passionate, and team-oriented individuals to join our Aquatics team for the 2026 summer season. This role involves creating memorable experiences for campers by supervising pool and water-based activities, teaching swimming skills, and ensuring a safe and fun environment. The season runs from June 15, 2026, to August 14, 2026, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Lifeguard certification and training are provided.

Requirements

Ability to attend staff training (evenings week of June 8th).
Ability to work at least 7 out of 9 camp weeks.
Must be at least 15 yrs old.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Must be able to obtain Background Clearances, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with children preferred.
Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise the pool and pool area at all times when campers are present.
Supervise the pond and creek areas during water-based activities, such as boating, fishing, and creek walks.
Teach and support age-appropriate swimming skills to groups.
Identify and respond to first aid incidents, as needed.
Keep pool and camp areas safe, clean, and organized.
Maintain accurate daily and weekly pool check records.
Know and follow all emergency procedures and safety guidelines.
Be flexible and jump in wherever needed.
