About The Position
This position entails standard lifeguarding and instructing duties at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex. Successful incumbents will be required to provide instruction in the many pool programs offered at the facility. Lifeguard/Instructors are responsible for the general maintenance, care, and conditions of the pool area. Incumbents will work a variety of shifts during days, evenings, and weekends which may include split shifts.
Requirements
- Standard (Intermediate) First Aid and CPR Level C certificate (must be obtained prior to program start date)
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard award
- Swim for Life and or Lifesaving Instructor
- Successful completion of a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Verification (must be obtained prior to program start date)
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
Nice To Haves
- Swim for Life and or Lifesaving Trainer
- National Lifeguard Instructor/Examiner
- Lifesaving Society or Red Cross First Aid Instructor certificate
