About The Position

As a Life Underwriter you will review and evaluate applications for life and disability income insurance. As part of the evaluation process, you will assess medical and financial information about the applicant using underwriting guidelines. You will communicate with medical facilities, doctors, sales representatives and others, as needed, to complete the underwriting analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling competing demands.

Requirements

Four-year degree or equivalent experience
Medical terminology, preferred
Strong Analytical skills
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills
