About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, training, and advancement of combat diving systems and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) used by Naval Special Warfare (NSW) entities. The position enhances operational readiness, manages inventory, and supports current and future technologies. The role involves developing and delivering training curricula, performing maintenance, managing government-approved programs, providing technical advice, and assisting in the development of future technologies. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring equipment is operational, and reporting deficiencies. Travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, is required for training, operations, and conferences. A key aspect of the role includes understanding the transport and storage of Lithium batteries and adhering to Navy Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA) procedures.

Requirements

Possess a valid state driver’s license.
Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
Navy Dive School certified (NEC 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher).
Minimum Five years’ experience as a certified 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC diver or higher.
Qualification as a Maintenance & Material Management (3M) Maintenance Person, 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman, and 3M Work Center Supervisor.
Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).
Minimum of Three years NSW experience.
Maintain forklift license up to 6,000lb capacity.
Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in their official duties.

Responsibilities

Ensures seamless operation, conducts scheduled and unscheduled preventative and corrective maintenance, training, and advancement of combat diving systems and ROVs used by NSW entities.
Enhances operational readiness, ensures proper inventory management, and gathers critical information to support current and future technologies.
Develops and writes comprehensive curricula for end-user training on combat diving propulsion, navigation, communication systems, SHIELD SCBA, and ROVs.
Delivers training and certification programs to NSW personnel, ensuring operational proficiency.
Maintains training records and provides feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Performs routine and advanced maintenance on combat diving systems, ROVs, and ancillary equipment.
Ensures equipment is properly maintained and issued to NSW and associated entities.
Reports all system deficiencies and alterations to department leadership and WARCOM program office promptly.
Manages government-approved programs for NSWG-2 LOGSUPPU and WARCOM related to combat diving systems.
Ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures for equipment and system operations.
Provides technical advice and support to engineers and WARCOM leadership regarding system functionality, maintenance procedures, testing, and evaluation of combat dive systems, ROVs, and ancillary equipment.
Assists in the development of future technologies and provides input on system upgrades and modifications.
Maintains an accurate inventory of all combat diving systems, ROVs, and ancillary equipment.
Verifies accountability of equipment issued to NSW entities and ensures proper documentation.
Travels OCONUS and CONUS to train NSW personnel, attend operations, conferences, and meetings involving dive technologies and ROVs.
Gathers critical information on emerging technologies and provides insights to support NSW operations.
Maintains maintenance, testing, and inventory records for all combat diving systems and ancillary equipment.
Prepares written reports on system deficiencies, alterations, and recommendations.
Prepares conference and meeting summaries detailing critical findings and recommendations for future technology integration.
Ensures all systems and equipment are maintained in operational condition and issued as required.
Ensures training programs are delivered effectively, ensuring end-user proficiency.
Ensures inventory is accurate, and all deficiencies are reported promptly.
Provides timely and actionable technical advice to engineers and leadership.
Ensures travel and conference participation results in actionable insights and recommendations.
Is familiar with the transport and storage of Lithium batteries and proper procedures for upkeep of all batteries associated with maintained systems.
Adheres to Navy Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA) transport, stowage, and operation.
Obtains factory-trained certifications for all underwater navigation, communication and propulsion systems.
