About The Position

Journeys In Community Living is seeking a Life Skills Technology Coach to provide person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role uses life skills training and enabling technology to promote independence in home, work, and community settings. Services are delivered in-home, in the community, at work, or virtually throughout Middle Tennessee.

Requirements

Valid Tennessee driver's license with a good driving history.
High school diploma.
Successful background check clearance before employment.
Ability to pass any required security clearance before or after employment.
Ability to achieve required certifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized services in home, community, work, or virtual settings throughout Middle Tennessee.
Facilitate and implement individualized service plans based on participant goals.
Teach life skills aligned with MAPs goals, including home safety, hygiene, health, employment, financial skills, and community engagement, using technology.
Assess participant needs and recommend appropriate enabling technology.
Integrate technology and train participants to use tools such as tablets, apps, smart devices, Amazon Alexa, and VR tools such as Meta Quest.
Develop service plans before services and complete required documentation, including case notes, progress, and evidence.
Support milestone completion, assessments, and outcome tracking.
Use tools such as VCRM for person-centered planning.
Communicate regularly with participants, families, stakeholders, and team members.
Maintain consistent scheduling, reliability, and professionalism.
Schedule the next services before concluding current sessions.
