About The Position

The Life Skills Clinician (LSC)/ Life Skills Specialist (LSS) monitors and provides care coordination and life skills training and development in collaboration with the care team to youth and/or adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders, including those with serious and persistent mental illness and chronic addiction.

Requirements

  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Indiana Driver's License
  • Two (2) years of social service experience in a volunteer or paid role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary care team member.
  • May assist with gathering data for comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
  • Able to deescalate clients displaying aggressive behaviors.
  • Documents services provided in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) based on policies and procedures.
  • When necessary, will transport clients in personal vehicles.
  • Complies with all applicable Behavioral Health Care Service policies and procedures.
  • Actively involved in professional development and education, including mandatory training.
  • Completes time cards, PTO requests, mileage reports, and other documentation per Community Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
