Life Skills Special Education Paraprofessional
About The Position
Clinton Prairie Elementary School is now accepting applications for the position of Life Skills Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves providing direct support to students with significant cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and/or physical disabilities. The paraprofessional will assist the special education teacher in implementing accommodations and services as outlined in student IEPs, and support students in developing academic, functional, communication, and social-emotional skills. The position also requires supporting the classroom teacher and students as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with young children preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students with significant cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and/or physical disabilities.
- Assist the special education teacher in implementing accommodations and services per the student IEP.
- Support students in academic, functional, communication, and social-emotional skill development.
- Support the classroom teacher and students as necessary.
