About The Position

Life Sciences Logistics Technical Expert The Opportunity: To achieve an organization’s mission, leaders need strong team members who can provide guidance on cutting-edge R&D, serve as subject matter experts, and develop innovative solutions throughout the execution of the mission. Whether completing an immediate task, advising on R&D, recommending a solution, or flexing to support an emerging requirement, our clients need an expert who can help manage life sciences logistics and advanced cold chain operations. That is why we need you, an experienced Life Sciences Logistics Technical Expert, to provide technical expertise and project development for emerging opportunities within healthcare. You'll serve as a Life Sciences Logistics Technical Expert helping clients develop technical R&D reports, evaluate advanced logistical and biological handling approaches, and help determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating communication of R&D programs within the Agency, and being readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client’s mission, and problem‑solving will enable the mission’s success.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in biology or cold chain operations or cryogenic logistics
Experience with cold chain equipment design and integration, advanced monitoring technologies, automation, or medical logistics
Experience with cold chain requirements for therapeutics or medical supplies or devices
Experience supporting and advising government leadership or federal research programs
Knowledge of chemistry manufacturing and controls (CMC), including process development and quality by design principles as applied to temperature‑sensitive products
Ability to manage budgets, technical milestones, and multidisciplinary research efforts across multi‑site or multi‑performer programs
Doctorate degree in Biological Sciences, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering

Nice To Haves

7+ years of experience in biology or cold chain operations
Experience working within medical logistics and supply chain
Experience operating within a federal R&D environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Possession of strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Analyze and develop reports on the state of cutting-edge supply chain logistics and cold chain infrastructure and processes for federal R&D programs.
Support strategy development and program execution for clinical supply chain and related initiatives and evaluate the conceptual and technical soundness of research programs spanning cold chain and other medical logistics requirements in the health space.
Provide subject matter expertise on innovative cold chain equipment design, temperature‑controlled logistics, unit operation integration, and continuous monitoring and automation, digital architecture, and current Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and provide guidance on strategies for development of advanced cold chain technologies.
Provide subject matter expertise regarding upstream, downstream, and formulation-related handling of biological products within the supply chain lifecycle
Perform literature reviews and generate briefing documents summarizing technical topics related to cold chain and medical supply chain logistics
Assist in defining program goals, technical milestones, budgets, and performer expectations for high-impact scientific initiatives and conduct technical reviews of R&D progress to ensure alignment with client objectives.
Interact with clients, government officials, and other executives in various sectors.
