About The Position

Working in an advanced capacity for a dynamic multi-tenant Life Science building and reporting to the Facility Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate and/or perform the preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of utility systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance with complete oversight of building automation system. Supervises custodial staff, contractors, and employees as designated. Provides best-in-class customer service.

Requirements

Relevant experience with and knowledge of building management control systems (i.e. Johnson Controls, Tridium, Siemens, etc.).
OSHA 10 Certification.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to clearly and positively communicate with owners, tenants, vendors and/or customers.
Ability to read building codes, blue prints and drawings.
Demonstrated computer competencies.
Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
Availability for 24/7 On-Call schedule required.
Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering or similar preferred.
Strong Knowledge of Building Management System (BMS) platforms desired.
Strong knowledge of air handling systems, heating systems and exhaust systems desired.

Responsibilities

Complies with all applicable codes, regulations and corporate policies/procedures related to building operations and work safety.
Manages computer-based maintenance management system.
Manages and/or performs assigned corrective work orders and preventive maintenance.
Manages and/or performs grounds keeping activities including, but not limited to snow removal (grounds, halls, loading docks, etc.).
May manage and coordinate third party quotes, repairs and service maintenance.
Responds to client and/or tenant requests for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, wastewater and construction needs.
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems of assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
Manages record-keeping activities as required.
Other tasks as directed.
