About The Position

NFG is currently seeking to add an Insurance Case Management Associate to our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting financial professionals through every stage of the new business process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience from application submission to policy issue and placement. The Insurance Case Management Associate serves as a critical link between financial professionals, carriers, and internal departments, providing timely updates, resolving processing challenges and underwriting requirements, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism throughout the process. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in new business processing, case management, or related roles within financial services, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. The role will regularly interact with numerous departments including Regional Sales Teams, Contracting, and Operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Insurance Case Management experience.
  • Prior experience working in a BGA/IMO type environment.
  • Knowledge of the different new business processes of multiple insurance carriers.
  • Prior use and knowledge of SmartOffice.
  • Convey technical information to users in non-technical, clear terms.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrating a mindset of owning and seeing issues through to completion/resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the financial professional and the carrier throughout the insurance new business process.
  • Review incoming insurance applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements, such as licensing. Our department processes and provides full case management of life insurance, disability income, and long term care insurance applications.
  • Coordinate with the insurance carriers and financial professional to track case progress, resolve pending requirements, and ensure timely issue and delivery of the policy from start to finish.
  • Proactively communicate case status updates to financial professionals.
  • Identify and resolve processing delays, ensuring each case meets our service and quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in applicable systems to ensure transparency and continuity.
  • Provide guidance to financial professionals on best practices for submitting new business and preventing avoidable delays.
  • Support department initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and advisor experience.
  • Perform additional duties assigned.
