About The Position

NHC HealthCare Lewisburg is seeking a compassionate, caring, and creative individual to join their team as a Life Enrichment Director. This full-time position involves developing and providing therapeutic programs that meet each patient's individual needs, creating an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and possess knowledge of the domains of wellness as they relate to programming in long-term care. The role requires working with seniors and includes responsibilities for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Requirements

Must become certified within 90 days of hire
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, OR Satisfactory completion of two years of college, OR Two years of experience in long-term care as it relates to activities and memory care

Nice To Haves

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Activity Director preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the Life Enrichment team and provide support while developing and implementing a well-rounded Life Enrichment program for all patients, including evenings and weekends, holidays, and special events
Complete assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork in a timely manner
Facilitate monthly Patient Council meetings
Supervise Life Enrichment/Activities Assistants, including training, scheduling, and evaluations
Manage the center volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition
Ensure all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming are met
Partner with other departments to support marketing efforts in the community
Perform other duties as assigned
