The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, assist and implement a full life enrichment program and volunteer program, as well as maintaining and updating on-campus communication. This role involves collaborating with the resident services director to plan and facilitate social and recreational programs, including structured individual and group activities, and resident-led events. The coordinator may drive a company vehicle for off-campus events and ensures programming aligns with the CL's LifeConnect® philosophy. Marketing of programs to the community and staff, including updating the MyCov Life app, is also a key responsibility. The role includes planning and escorting off-campus events, coordinating the resident and community volunteer program, developing and directing the volunteer program (recruiting, scheduling, coordinating), and collaborating with other departments for events like town hall and resident council meetings. Larger-scale events may also be planned and implemented. Additionally, the position is responsible for updating the on-campus TV channel and utilizing other formal communication methods like newsletters and information boards, including newsletter editing. Staying current with trends in recreational programming for older adults and ensuring Covenant Living standards are met or exceeded is crucial. The role also involves providing welcome and orientation for new residents, updating care plans, interventions, and attending care conferences.
