Life Enrichment Coordinator-Memory Care-PT/Days
About The Position
Rose Senior Living Clinton Township is hiring a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate meaningful resident activities that support residents’ physical, mental, and social well-being. The coordinator assists the Director of Life Enrichment with monthly activities and special events across the community’s Life Enrichment programs, including Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program. The role also includes leading daily activities, preparing and distributing monthly calendars, promoting a healthy community culture, and providing educational opportunities related to disease prevention and management. Programs should be varied and engaging and address the needs of residents with different lifestyles, support needs, and stages of memory loss. Employees are expected to practice the LCS Hospitality Promises in their interactions with residents, colleagues, and guests, including greeting people warmly, treating them with respect, listening and responding promptly, embracing differences, maintaining professionalism, and attending to details. This is an in-person position with an eight-hour day shift, typically 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; holiday work and weekend availability are required. The stated pay is $17.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability for an eight-hour day shift, holidays, and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree.
- Six months of experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating resident activities and special events in accordance with the community’s Life Enrichment programs.
- Promote a healthy community culture for residents and employees.
- Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff on disease prevention and management as part of the Wellness Program.
- Lead daily resident activities according to community standards.
- Assist with preparing and distributing monthly activity calendars according to community standards.
- Plan and execute diverse, engaging programs that meet the needs of residents with different lifestyles, physical assistance needs, and stages of memory loss.
- Practice the LCS Hospitality Promises in interactions with residents, employees, and guests.
