About The Position

The Life Enrichment Caregiver is a dynamic, resident-focused staff member who provides both direct caregiving support and meaningful engagement through activities programming. This role is designed for individuals who can seamlessly transition between assisting residents with daily living needs and leading or supporting activities, particularly with a memory care environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable personality
Ability to multitask and transition between caregiving and activity roles
Basic understanding of dementia and person-centered approaches

Nice To Haves

Caregiving experience preferred
Experience in memory care, dementia care, or activities programming strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Provide compassionate, person-centered care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence
Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions
Support medication reminders
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Build trusting relationships with residents and families
Plan, lead, and assist with daily activities tailored to residents in Memory Care
Facilitate group and one-on-one engagement such as music, art, reminiscence, games, and sensory activities
Adapt programs to meet varying cognitive and physical abilities
Encourage participation and create a welcoming, inclusive environment
Support special events, holiday celebrations, and family involvement opportunities
Document participation and resident responses to activities
