About The Position

NHC Lexington is seeking a creative, high-energy Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead activities for seniors. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a great sense of humor, and a desire to make a difference daily. This role involves leading therapeutic activities, providing one-on-one engagement, and assisting with community events and the center newsletter. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with residents, families, and coworkers, adhering to the '20 Better Way Promises'.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A genuine love for working with the elderly.
• Self-motivation, patience, and a professional presentation.
• Flexibility to work changing hours, including some evenings and weekends for special events.
• Ability to stand/walk for 2–5 hours a day and lift up to 60–70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Help lead fun, therapeutic activities that meet residents' physical, social, and emotional needs.
• Spend quality, one-on-one time with individual patients who need extra engagement.
• Assist the Director with community events, fundraising, and the center newsletter.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and coworkers while following the 20 Better Way Promises.
