Iris Memory Care of Turtle Creek is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Life Enrichment Assistant to join their team in Dallas, TX. This community specializes in caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The role is responsible for helping create meaningful engagement and a positive impact in the lives of seniors. The ideal candidate is creative, patient, and relationship-driven.
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and communicate with seniors living with dementia
- Creative, energetic, and team-oriented
- Must be able to pass background check and meet employment requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous senior living, memory care, activities, childcare, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with daily activities, events, games, crafts, music, exercise, and social engagement
- Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families
- Support outings, special events, and holiday celebrations
- Assist with activity setup, decorating, organization, and cleanup
- Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the community
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, nursing staff, and leadership
- Adapt activities to meet the unique needs of residents living with dementia
