About The Position

Otterbein Granville, a 5 STAR rated Life Plan Community located in Granville, is looking for a Part-time Life Enrichment Assistant. This position offers competitive wages and access to an on-site fitness center and swimming pool. The role involves working side by side with colleagues to deliver person-centered care, respecting residents and their choices. Otterbein SeniorLife operates various communities and services, including vibrant communities, small house neighborhoods, Home Health, Hospice, and a Home Office, all focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care. The part-time position requires working 2 days a week and 1 weekend a month, with approximately 38 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Specific hours are 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on workdays and 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on weekend days.

Requirements

Prior recreational/life enrichment experience gained through either education or relevant experience
Must be proficient with computers in order to use electronic medical records
Must be patient and able to initiate activities with residents that are based on individual care plans.
Must have a caring demeanor and a positive attitude
Must be comfortable facilitating group activities
This position involves walking and pushing wheelchairs indoors and outdoors with residents weighing up to 250 lbs.
Must be able to move and re-arrange equipment weighing up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Works in collaboration with our Life Enrichment Director and team to plan and carry out enriching activities.
Assists residents with light exercise and engaging experiences in the Health Center that focus on enhancing their quality of life.
