The role empowers individuals to actively participate in the lives of residents and their families, joining the PMMA team to provide the best quality of life and care for residents. A Life Enrichment / Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting in developing and carrying out the life enrichment programs of the Community in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. They may be directed by the department director or Executive Director to provide for the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of the residents. The role also advances the value that the resident comes first, valuing the Community as the residents’ home and working to create attributes of home and modeling person-centered care.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent desired.
- One year experience in activities program in a senior living setting preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in developing and carrying out the life enrichment programs of the Community in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Providing for the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of the residents as directed by the department director or Executive Director.
- Advancing the value that the resident comes first.
- Creating attributes of home and modeling person-centered care.
