About The Position

The Life Enrichment Assistant supports and leads activities for residents in memory care neighborhoods, with a strong focus on engagement—while promoting dignity, purpose, and overall quality of life through meaningful experiences.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write and carry out directions in English
Creative, engaging and compassionate personality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum of 17 years of age
Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening and pre-employment

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia is preferred

Responsibilities

Utilize GEMS: Positive Approach to Dementia Care
Plan and lead group and individual activities in the memory care neighborhoods (exercise, music, crafts, games etc.)
Engage residents through structured and spontaneous interactions
Prepare materials and supplies for activities
Support special events, outings and family programming
Assist residents with meals as needed
