Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, customer service, education, or related fields preferred
Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative, organized, and dependable
Experience working with older adults is a plus
Ability to encourage engagement and create meaningful resident interactions

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and leading resident programs, activities, and special events
Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities
Support social, recreational, physical, spiritual, and cognitive wellness programs
Help transport residents to and from activities as needed
Assist with decorating and preparing activity spaces for events and celebrations
Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members
Conduct one-on-one visits with residents who may be unable or reluctant to participate in group activities
Maintain activity supplies, calendars, and participation records
Support holiday celebrations, community events, and special programs
Promote resident dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life
