About The Position

Life Enrichment Assistant (Part-Time, Day) – Pine Valley Assisted Living. This role is part-time, day shift, with hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, working Saturdays and Sundays only, totaling 16 hours per week. Lutheran Life Villages, a premier senior living community in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking an enthusiastic Life Enrichment Assistant to join their team at the Pine Valley Assisted Living campus. The role involves enriching the lives of residents through engaging programs, social activities, and personalized interactions within a mission-driven team that values dignity, respect, and excellence.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in the state of Indiana and a clean driving record.
Ability to safely transport residents and qualify for coverage under the company’s motor vehicle insurance policy.
Willingness to participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and support innovative programming.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years of experience in long-term care, recreation, wellness, or a related field preferred.
A heart for service, strong organizational skills, and a creative spirit.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead activities that support residents' social, spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being.
Welcome new residents and help them engage in the community.
Assist with developing monthly activity calendars and coordinating group events and outings.
Decorate the campus for holidays and special occasions.
Collaborate with community partners for intergenerational and external events.
Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
Maintain activity supply inventories and provide input on new program ideas.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Support the Life Enrichment team with other duties as assigned.
