About The Position

Riley Crossing senior living community located in Chanhassen, MN near Hwy 101 and County Road 212. Opened in 2019, it hosts 134 units of Independent, Assisted Living, Enhanced and Memory Care in total. This location also offers on-site intergenerational child care and interactive programming with our seniors. The Life Enrichment Assistant/Driver assists with the planning and implementation of quality leisure/social events program designed to assist residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically, socially and mentally. Additionally drives Ebenezer bus for resident outings. This part-time schedule includes: 40 horus per two week pay period Day shift Rotating weekends

Requirements

  • None to 1 Year
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, occasional weekends and evenings
  • Drivers License Current Driver’s License (in good standing)
  • Medical Exam Certification
  • Must be at least 18-years old
  • Must be insurable under the employers Auto Insurance Coverage
  • Must complete and pass in-house transportation curriculum course and pass driving evaluation. within 30 Days

Responsibilities

  • Assists with leisure programs and activities: Leads social events and activity programs. Conducts exercise class for residents. Communicates and coordinates activity/leisure programs with all departments. Assists other departments with special events and family functions. Documents as required. Offers suggestions and ideas to improve the events program to the Life Enrichment Director.
  • Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents: Encourages resident participation. Reports change in resident attitude, mood or physical status to appropriate staff. Promotes resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills. Assists residents in developing relationships and effectively socializing.
  • Drives Ebenezer van/bus for resident outings: Reviews and completes Vehicle Requirements – Transporting Residents Checklist prior to each resident outing. Mains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period. Responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services including but not limited to: fire/disaster procedures and infection control procedures. Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents. Follows all laws with regard to operating a motor vehicle. Immediately reports any traffic violations or accidents.
